1. chop up mushrooms and onion.
2. fry in a saucepan with olive oil and balsamic until caramelized, on low heat about 20 mins. add 3 cloves minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
3. boil pasta, drain.
4. add 1/4 cup chicken or vegetables broth and 1/4 cup milk, thicken with 1/2 tablespoon corn starch. simmer until thick and tasty.
5. serve on pasta. goes great with parmesan cheese, bacon bits, or italian sausage. basil or parsley to garnish.
