So instead of making a huge-ass pie, you can make these delicious bite-sized turnovers!
You need:
wonton wrappers
egg or milk to brush the edges
Put a dollop of pie filling in, like so. Dap edges with egg or milk, fold over and seal with a fork.
Brush top with butter.
Bake for 10 minutes on each side until golden and crisp.
NUTELLA
Add a dollop of Nutella inside. Also great with raspberries or strawberries of even bananas!
APPLE PIE:
Peel and dice 2 apples, add 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon soft butter, and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg.
MAPLE: [Tarte Au Sucre]
Bring maple syrup to a boil until thick, add 1/4 cup butter. Place a dollop in each and top with brown sugar and bake.
STRAWBERRIES & CHOCOLATE:
Mix some chopped strawberries and dark chocolate chips. Top with icing sugar.
