Scalloped Vegetables with Italian Sausage


Obviously omit sausage if vegetarian! Still delicious. 

1. preheat oven to 400 F.
2. slice tomatoes, zucchini, onion, into rounds. Add bell peppers and mushrooms, too.
3. cook sausage if using. slice or form into balls.
4. heat tomato sauce with garlic, herbs [fresh basil or parsley] salt and pepper.
5. grease a baking dish, lay out vegetables, top with sausage,  and pour on sauce.
6. mix together 1/4 cup milk with 1 tablespoon sour cream, 1 tablespoon flour [to thicken] and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Put on vegetables.
7. grate some extra cheese on top.
8. bake for 30-40 mins until golden.
