Breaded Scallops


MANY styles. 

basically, you need to:
1. marinate.
2. coat in corn starch, then egg, then breadcrumbs
3. bake or fry.

1. SIMPLE LEMON SCALLOPS: marinate in lemon juice and oil, coat, bake or fry, serve with tartar sauce or lemons. 

2. SCALLOPS & WASABI DIP: marinate in sesame oil, ginger, lime juice, coat with panko, bake or fry. Make Wasabi dip: 1/4 cup low fat mayo and 1 teaspoon wasabi and a bit of cilantro
FRENCH BREADED SCALLOPS: marinate in Dijon-wine vinegar and parsley, coat, bake or fry, serve with bechamel or tarragon sauce. 
BUFFALO SCALLOPS: marinate in BBQ sauce, coat, deep-fry or fry, serve with blue cheese dip
ITALIAN LEMON, PARMESAN & PARSLEY SCALLOPS: marinate in lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. coat, adding dry parsley, top with parmesan before baking or frying. 
GREEK SCALLOPS: marinate in garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. coat, top with oregano/feta sauce or tzatziki. 

ALSO TRY:
Caprese, marinate in balsamic and olive oil, coat, bake with mozzarella and fresh basil

SPICY: marinate in soy sauce, chili flakes, sesame oil, and lime juice, coat, cook, serve with Sriracha mayo

MEXICAN: Marinate in lime juice, cumin, garlic, and cilantro, coat and fry/bake topped with cheddar or pimento cheese, serve with salsa
