Agedashi Tofu

Tofu is cheap, filling and versatile. You don't have to be vegetarian to enjoy it! You can bake this amazing japanese appetizer instead of frying, for a healthier take.

Tentsuyu Sauce:
3/4 cup dashi or Japanese fish stock
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons sake
2 tablespoons mirin
3/4 tablespoons sugar

1. cut firm tofu into bite sized chunks.
2.  coat in corn starch, then egg, then panko breadcrumbs.
3. if frying, heat a skillet with sesame oil, fry until browned on all sides.
4. if baking, drizzle with sesame oil, then bake for 10-15 minutes on each sides at 400 F.
5. serve with Tentsuyu sauce
6. top with green onion, sesame seeds, grated ginger.
