half a small red onion, thinly sliced
spinach or romaine or mixed greens
croutons
crumbled goat or feta cheese
walnuts, pecans, pine nuts, or almonds [toasted or not]

BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE:
2 tablespoons balsamic
4 tablespoons olive oil
salt, pepper
1 clove minced garlic
chopped fresh basil
